Formulations
Plantic's formulations consist of modified starches, together with other polymeric and non-polymeric ingredients, plasticisers and processing aids. A number of different formulations have been developed by Plantic, with their applications broadly falling into four categories:

• Rigid packaging
• Injection moulding resins
• Flexible films
• Barrier resins

Each application requires materials that have different functional and processing properties to satisfy the end use application, whilst still retaining the core environmental attributes of Plantic®. The ability to modify and develop new formulations around the base intellectual property is a core competency of Plantic.
